As uvas foram suavemente prensadas, seguindo-se a fermentação com leveduras indígenas, em barricas velhas de carvalho americano denominadas “bota”. A temperatura foi controlada naturalmente, dada a pequena dimensão dos depósitos (600 l). O vinho envelheceu durante 8 meses com as borras finas sob “flor”. As barricas foram cheias até 5/6 da sua capacidade, de modo a que as leveduras se pudessem desenvolver.

O Navazos-Niepoort 2020 é um vinho com um carácter frutado invulgar a citrinos e alperce marcado pelo estágio em “flor”. Com aromas típicos de Jerez, tais como notas de calcário e pó de giz, é um vinho cheio de carácter, vibrante, fresco e com uma acidez surpreendente. Encorpado mas sem ser pesado, seco mas não agressivo é um vinho incrivelmente gastronómico!

Com cor rubi aberto, o aroma é fino, fresco e frutado. Na boca, mostra-se um vinho mineral, muito elegante e onde os tons de frutos silvestres e as notas de Terroir prevalecem. A boa acidez está em harmonia com a fruta. O estágio em cimento proporciona um final de boca muito fresco e elegante e com boa persistência.

Awonderful dark purple rim and great depth of colour characterise the wine’s appearance. The aromatic profile is dominated by superb youthful dark fruit. It is powerful on the initial attack, leading into a fresh mid-palate with beautifully seductive flavours of dark fruit. A great combination of power and elegance, ending in a bold, dry, lengthy and slightly green tannic finish. The length and structure of the 2017 vintage promise a long-lived wine with great ageing potential.

Num ano excelente como o de 2015, o grande desafio foi selecionar o lote final por entre mais de 60.000 litros de vinhos de grande qualidade, todos eles com capacidade para fazer parte de um grande Porto Vintage. Durante mais de um ano, Dirk Niepoort, Nicholas Delaforce e Rodrigo Nogueira “foram apertando o crivo” para selecionar, com grande detalhe, os melhores tonéis para o lote de Porto Vintage 2015. com uma grande concentração, vigor e complexidade, mas também extremamente elegante, com uma frescura notável. Tal como no excelente Vintage 2011, o Vintage 2015 tem taninos muito vigorosos apresentando, no entanto, uma textura mais sedosa. Apresenta uma grande estrutura e equilíbrio e frescura notáveis, graças a uma acidez firme e menor grau de doçura.

The Conciso Tinto 2021 displays a bright ruby color with violet reflections. The nose is marked by aromatic freshness, featuring notes of red fruits like cherry and raspberry, complemented by floral and spicy nuances. On the palate, it is elegant and balanced, with fine tannins and lively acidity that imparts freshness to the wine. The finish is long and mineral, reflecting the granitic terroir of the Dão region.

The Redoma Branco 2019 offers an exceptionally fresh and austere character. A complex nose combines subtle citrusy and floral notes with the minerality typical of mica-schist soils. The palate is silky, with an outstanding acidity which lends the wine a firm backbone. This light-footed Redoma Branco 2019 impresses with its balance and ageing potential. The finish is linear, dry and expressive.

This century-old vineyard, planted in granite soil and facing east, on the slopes of Serra da Estrela, has mixed grape varieties where Baga and Jaen are predominant.

The Conciso red 2017 wine has a more intense ruby color than usual.

The aroma is fresh but a note of more ripe fruit stands out. In the mouth it is concentrated, maintaining fresh fruit and light tannins, with good acidity, where balance and harmony are evident.

Vertente is a wine of great elegance and complexity, which masterfully combines the fruit and concentration of Douro wines with the freshness of Niepoort wines.

With a bright ruby color and medium concentration, Vertente is very characteristic of the year 2018. The aroma is still very young, with notes of graphite, wild berries and some black plum, combined with the complexity of the wood. A thin profile and very fresh in the mouth with some nerve and complexity, the 2018 Strand is very elegant, with a very pleasant aftertaste. It will certainly evolve very well in the bottle.

O Senior Tawny é proveniente de vinhas de baixa altitude do Cima Corgo, na região do Douro. As uvas são predominantemente pisadas a pé, em lagares, antes do envelhecimento em barricas velhas nas caves de Vila Nova de Gaia.

Cor de tijolo avermelhada, típica do tawny; na boca, é aveludado, evidenciando uma mistura harmoniosa de vinhos velhos, que conferem riqueza, com vinhos mais novos, responsáveis pela frescura e complexidade.

Dark topaz in color, with yellowish tones. The aroma is very fine and vinous, with a well-balanced touch of old wood. Very concentrated on the palate, after a long aging in wood and great intensity with a long spirited finish.
