A canela é uma especiaria com uma longa história, apreciada pelos gregos, romanos e egípcios pela sua aromatização típica e propriedades benéficas. Com o passar dos séculos, ficou conhecido como “o tempero dos reis”. Para produzir o nosso licor, paus inteiros de canela do Ceilão, da melhor variedade, são infundidos em água e álcool. A qualidade da matéria-prima, aliada ao processo natural e lento de extração, dão origem a uma intensa tintura de canela, que se mistura habilmente com a nossa melhor grappa, água, álcool e açúcar para criar um licor de carácter único e inconfundível.

On the nose, it reveals fresh citrus and green apple notes, wrapped in subtle hints of vanilla and toast from its 12 month aging in French oak barrels. On the palate, it is vibrant and structured, with firm acidity and a long finish, making it a perfect match for cod dishes or white meats.

Arribas do Douro Grande Reserva Red Wine 2020 – 750 ml

From the steep slopes of the Douro Superior comes this Grande Reserva that captures the power of its terroir. Crafted from Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Tinta Roriz grapes hand-harvested at full ripeness. Aged for 18 months in French and American oak barrels, it delivers depth and structure.

In the glass it presents an intense ruby hue with garnet highlights. On the nose it opens with ripe black fruit, sweet spices and a subtle vanilla note. On the palate it is full-bodied, polished tannins bring balance and a long finish recalls cocoa and liquorice.

Pairs exceptionally well with roasted meats, game stews or matured cheeses. Serve at 16 °C to 18 °C to fully appreciate its complexity.
