Quinta da Deserta lies in the heart of the Douro Demarcated Region, with vineyards rooted in schist soils between the Távora and Douro rivers. The region's harsh climate hot, dry summers and cold, wet winters yields low production but high-quality grapes. The producer and winemaker is Acácio Pinto Ribeiro.
