Produced by Casa Agrícola Brites Aguiar, a company with deep roots in the Douro, located in the village of Várzea de Trevões, in the municipality of São João da Pesqueira. The property occupies between 190 and 200 hectares of schist soils on the slopes of the River Torto and the Ribeira de Galegos, benefiting from the diverse microclimates typical of the region. The Bafarela Grande Reserva is a limited edition, released only in exceptional years and a symbol of Casa Brites Aguiar's maximum expression of elegance.

Quinta da Boa Esperança Alicante Bouschet 2018 (750 ml) revela uma cor granada intensa, quase opaca, com nuances violetas. No nariz, surgem notas dominantes de fruta preta madura (ameixa, amora), envoltas por nuances balsâmicas, especiadas e ligeiramente fumadas, com fino toque de carvalho francês após estágio de 24 meses. No paladar mostra-se volumoso e vibrante, corpo estruturado, taninos firmes mas elegantes, acidez equilibrada e final persistente, ideal para longo envelhecimento (+10 anos).
