MOSQUEL ARINTO 2022
Crystalline green colour with straw reflections. The nose shows notes of white flowers like jasmine, lemon, lime and a minerality characteristic of the region. In the mouth, freshness dominates the palate, with citrus notes adding dimension to the flavour, mint and pennyroyal aromas helping to elevate a wine that combines the characteristics of a good Arinto with acidity and freshness to round off the tasting. In the end, minerality and softness dominate, leaving you wanting to taste it again.
Climate:
2022 was characterised as a warm year, but without temperature peaks. It was a year of extreme drought from January to November, which greatly influenced the vegetative development of the vines. It was a year of low yields and small berries with very high alcohol content and low acidity, forcing producers to harvest earlier than expected in order to obtain quality wines.
Harvest:
Harvested by hand during the coolest part of the day. The grapes are carefully selected in the cellar and destemmed. After crushing, the grapes undergo pre-fermentation maceration for 6 hours in the cold and without contact with oxygen. After this process they are lightly crushed to obtain the tear must. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats for 25 days. The wine is aged for 7 months sur lies until it is ready for bottling
