The grapes were carefully selected, destemmed and pressed. Fermentation took place in small stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature (14ºC) for 23 days. The wine was aged for 6 months in French oak and American oak, using batonnage for 3 months.
Citrus in colour, this is an aromatically intense wine with an elegant presence of fruit, particularly stone fruit, and tropical nuances, especially ripe pineapple and banana. The wood comes through harmoniously, with notes of hazelnut, toast, dried fruit and a hint of spice. On the palate it is intense and structured, with remarkable minerality and freshness, giving it the status of being one of the most surprising and unforgettable Fernão Pires.
Our story arises from the enormous legacy left by our family, a passion for the land that is difficult to control and the desire to create unique wines associated with a special and unsettling terroir.
"This is a project started by our grandparents, woven over three generations, driven by the present generation, and projected onto our children."
It's been more than 100 years linked to viticulture and wine production, where the passion for this noble activity has always been passed on to us with great sincerity. All the ambition, hard work and sacrifice that our ancestors went through are always present in everything we do, filling us with pride and driving us to always do more and better.
