BEIRA INTERIOR

This single-variety Touriga Nacional is Quinta do Cardo’s flagship, from the historic vineyard beside the early 20th-century dovecote. It has an elegant ruby colour, with an aromatic profile of florals, violets and wild berries. On the palate it features silky tannins, subtle minerality and fresh elegance, with a long, precise finish. Low-temperature fermentation in conical stainless-steel tanks and 12 months aging on fine lees in steel — with no wood aging — preserve varietal purity, highlighting the high-altitude granitic terroir of Beira Interior.

Deep ruby in colour, this organic red wine reveals a rich aromatic profile of ripe red fruit, subtle balsamic and spice notes, finished with hints of cedar. On the palate, polished tannins, refined structure and a well-rounded finish stand out. The blend of Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, and Alicante Bouschet—sourced from roughly 25‑year‑old vines—delivers freshness, depth, and harmony. Aged 8–9 months in inox vats and used oak barrels, it reaches 13–13.5% alcohol and pairs excellently with white meats, grilled vegetables, and soft cheeses.
