This wine originates mainly from old vines, perfectly adapted to the rigors of the region, with low production and more concentrated aromas. The granite soils with some schist patches and the great diversity of micro-climates allow us to combine grapes of greater maturity with grapes from areas with greater freshness and acidity, in a very balanced combination.
Fermentation in cement vats and partial aging in French and American oak for 12 months.
Deep ruby in color, it has an intense aroma of forest fruits with notes of spices, which highlight its good ripeness. Aging provided complexity and balance, with mouth volume and enveloping texture, with a long, warm finish.
In the beautiful Vila Termal de Vidago, vineyards have been cultivated since the time of the Romans who gave the ancestral name to our land of 'VITIS AGRUM', which means 'field or land of vineyards' and from which the current name of Vidago derives.
