Distinct aromas all combine seamlessly, with notes of meat, wild herbs and berry preserved peeking through. Supple on the tongue, the dark fruit intertwines with dark roasted earth flavors and hints of leather that fade into a gently dry finish.

Quinta do Quetzal is set in the heart of the Alentejo region on the rich slopes of Vidigueira, close to the oldest known Roman winery in Portugal and Spain. The region’s micro climate and its hills make it the perfect location for a unique terroir. The grapes grow on soil rich in Schist, the local mineral stone. While the area around Quinta do Quetzal is generally sunny and warm, its positioning on the foothills of the Serra do Mendro allows cooler air in from the Atlantic ocean.
