This wine is produced from the Trincadeira, Alicante Bouschet and Aragonez grape varieties, aged in new French oak barrels. Very fruity, with great concentration and exuberance. With a garnet color, this wine has a fruity aroma with jammy fruit, balsamic notes and licorice. In the mouth, it presents good concentration and acidity, with very mature and smooth tannins. It also has a velvety finish.
The wine tradition in the Évora region dates back to time immemorial. The Charter that D. Manuel I granted to the city in 1501 bears witness to this. Adega Cartuxa combines the flavor of history with the unique art of this wine, in an evocative edition of Foral.
