This wine is the result of a selection of grapes from the Touriga Nacional and Tinta-Roriz plots.
The grapes were gently crushed with total destemming, resulting in a wine with balsamic vegetal aromas of ripe red fruit, an intense and expressive ruby colour, very balanced on the palate, round tannins and an elegance that only a red wine born in the Dão can make you feel.

Quinta da Espinhosa was born from the dream of its founder Alberto Oliveira Pinto.
Over many years, with the help of his father, José António Lopes, he acquired small properties which he added to, the first of which was his favourite vineyard, "Espinhosa".
These vineyards are planted between 500 and 600 metres above sea level, with noble grape varieties from the Dão region as well as very old varieties, some of which are almost residual.
Having been one of the first estates to produce and bottle wines under its own brand, it continues today, some 50 years later, to produce high quality wines with the elegance and freshness typical of the Serra da Estrela sub-region.
