Rich aroma, smoky suggestions, combining notes of dried fruits with cigars. Very round flavor in the mouth, unctuous and liqueur, with plenty of freshness.
A blend of several grape varieties, from Vinhas Velhas: Tinta Roriz, Tinta Amarela, Touriga Franca and Touriga Nacional, among others. Blend of several wines, with an average aging of 20 years. Aging takes place in 600 liter oak barrels and casks.
Quinta do Vallado, built in 1716, is one of the oldest and most famous Quintas in the Douro Valley. It is located on the banks of the Corgo River, a tributary of the Douro River, right next to its mouth, close to the town of Peso da Régua. It belonged to the family of the legendary Dona Antónia Adelaide Ferreira, and remains in the possession of her descendants to this day.
