Elegant nose, it combines fresh and intense aromas of black fruits with some spicy notes. In the mouth the flavor of black fruits (cherry) is supported by very ripe and soft tannins, with an intense and long finish.

Old vineyards with a mixture of several grape varieties (field blend).

Around 20% aged for 4 years in barrels, the remaining 80% in stainless steel vats.

Quinta do Vallado, built in 1716, is one of the oldest and most famous Quintas in the Douro Valley. It is located on the banks of the Corgo River, a tributary of the Douro River, right next to its mouth, close to the town of Peso da Régua. It belonged to the family of the legendary Dona Antónia Adelaide Ferreira, and remains in the possession of her descendants to this day.
